Rules

Open to any team

Teams: Four squad members will comprise a match team. Each team must provide a question master and scorer for 'home' matches. No fresh team members may partcipate in either cup competitions or the final half of the league season

Introductory Entry fee is £60 per team per season.

League: Will comprise a pre-determined number of teams, The Target being 12. More than twelve entries will be played in divisions of a maximum of twelve teams. League points will be awarded two for a win, one for a draw. If more than one division is formed promotion and relegation may be two up/two down.

Venues and Requirements:

Each team shall play at a single location of their choice. The scorekeeper shall inform league secretary of results and scores immediately both team captains have approved the result Time and location may be altered with agreement of both teams and league secretary.

Matches: shall be played on Monday Nights, between September and May the following Year at 8:30 weekly and comprise 10 rounds.

Questions will be posted to arrive on the Friday, three days prior to the game in a sealed envelope. Question standard will be that of the Five Towns Quiz League .

A coin toss will dictate which team goes first. Each teams individual playing order must be declared to the scorekeeper and question master before the start of match. Each question must be answered within 60 seconds of completion or 30 seconds of being passed over

  4. Squad - Full conference permitted between entire venue - Questionmaster may only accept the Captain's answer

There will therefore be a potential for a total of 160 points in any match, with a maximum (but unlikely) 120 for any team

Disputes: Shall be presented to the organisers by email within two days for resolution. Where possible precedent will be used, where not precedent shall be set. The organisers' decision shall be final.
